Bonchaka's real name is Terry Adjetey and is a grandson of Peter Ala Adjetey who was the Speaker of Parliament from 2000-2004. The Ghanaian hiplife cum ragga artiste who attended Adisadel College had been performing in a lot of Cape Coast secondary schools before he got his big break through Club Pleasure, the entertainment segment of Miss Ghana. He won the 2001 competition and built on his fan base from there.
He was known for his energy on stage, choreography and stage attires. He wanted to bring the old school fashion back because he felt it was the best and kept an afro as his look.
