Real Name Prince Kwabena Budu Asumaning, Ebenezer Kwasi Okyere Asumaning

Akatakyie is made up of two brothers, Prince Kwabena Budu Asumaning aka Kobby Culture and Ebenezer Kwasi Okyere Asumaning aka King Pharoah. Okatakyie (singular) means braver warrior/person.

Their debut album, Ghana mbaa, made a lot of waves on the Ghanaian music scene in 1999. It was hard to classify them a hiplife or highlife group as Odo esisi me ruled various charts and gained them Ghana music award nominations including the best hiplife song.
