Sowetan reports that kwaito artist, Mgarimbe is a free man after the court released him, saying there is no enough evidence to prove that he abused his 4 year old baby girl.

The mother of a toddler taken away by social workers after allegations of abuse at the house of her popular kwaito star father was in tears last night. She told of her disappointment with the child’s father, saying "he took her last year and promised to bring her back."

Police said they would continue with their investigation into how the toddler came to be bruised. Also to be investigated is why Mgarimbe and his girlfriend were hiding the fact that the child was in their townhouse.
