Female Ghanaian hip hop

Ever since hiplife became part and parcel of Ghanaian music, the female hiplife artistes have been holding it down. Talk of Abrewa Nana, Triple M (Manye Mercy), Mzbel, LA (made up of Lateefah and Asantewaa), Ras Nigga, etc - they have been matching their male counterparts boot for boot. They have been making music in native Ghanaian languages but 2006 and 2007 is seeing the rise of music in English from Ghana, so why not some female hip hop artistes? Ghanaian Missy Elliot/Eve wannabes? You got them. One right here, she's called Tiffany. And there's more to come.

We have the female crooners and singers in people like Becca, Irene and Jane, Sexy Diamond, Dela, Lib Queen (Liberian musician based in Ghana), and they are gaining prominence. It's only a matter of time till we have a glut of female rappers as well. I remember a few like CAB which stands for 'Crazy Attractive Baby' who featured on Reggie Rockstone's stuff back in the day and another lady (who is close to Reggie Rockstone) who featured on DJ Black's Toontoom mixtape.

this is nice to see women also doing hip hop in Ghana, Ghanaian music is dominated by the men and the women should start being in the spotlight more
Who is Tiffany now? Ghana is just rolling out the musicians, or has she been out for a little while and gets overshadowed by Samini? :-)
Nice vid. The girls are bringing it on. Richie and the team need to work a little harder. hehehe. I sense some Destiny's child backstreet brooklyn type thing. Cute though, not liking the outfits too much though. But she's gooooood!
Tiffany? I dunno where she appeared from. Richie may know a couple of things about her. I like the video too, the outfits are not so lekker like we've seen in Dela or Becca's videos, but they are okay.
I want to hear more Tiffany songs. This is purely a party song, wanna see if she can do other types of songs - like Nigeria's Sasha, Weird MC, Bouqui, etc.
Those TV3 Mentor and Stars of the Future competitions are unleashing a lot of female musicians. The number of female secular musicians in Ghana must have tripled from two years ago.
I am the first to admit that I do not know much about Female Musicians in Afrca. I can say that I have always like to listen to African Songs, without Music,
I have recently been talking to some Africian women and enjoy their conversations, however sometimes the wrong side of people comes out when you only hear about the overall people. Since I enjoy my relationship with the women I corrospond with, I feel that I must say how much I respect and even adore them
My only hope is that someday soon, I will be able to meet some of them face to face.
