Adam Mukiibi is normally referred to as Ziggy D
He studied Information Technology student in Dar-es-Salaam. Ziggy Dee came into the limelight with chartbursting single Eno Mic in 2001, which was hugely popular.
He disappeared from the music scene and then he released a single in 2007 called Darlio which featured Susan 'Zazou' Semugabi. Darlio is a Tanzanian slang for 'darling'. The song is sung in both Kiswahili and Luganda.
The song glorifies an Afro-Arab lifestyle, such as the one in Dar-es-Salaam. "I want to create songs that will be appreciated in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa," says the 26-year-old Ziggy Dee.
His Darlio album was done in English, Luganda, Kiswahili, Zulu, and Bemba. Darlio was jointly produced by Arthur KD and DJ Deno of the No End Entertainment Studios.
Ziggy Dee once acted in the Tanzanian movie Dilemma and had several art exhibitions in Tanzania and South Africa. He has been booked to showcase his art pieces at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting slated for November. Ziggy Dee has set up his LiveWire Recording Studios in Bunga.
