Michael Ugochukwu Stephens goes by the music name, Ruggedman and is an Igbo native. He is seen as a very controversial, no-nonsense Naija hip hop artist.

He initally released a couple of songs in 1991 which got a lot of airplay. He resurfaced in 2002, releasing a nunber of songs that criticized the flagbearers of Nigerian hip hop for their lack of talent while attacking a number of music producers. He finally debuted with Thy Album Come which had tracks like Baraje, Wetin Dey, Big bros, French Connection among others.
