This is one of my favourite songs all year and it is quickly becoming of my all-time favourites.
What else can we say about this song?
It starts out like a love song and it ends up talking society and politics. Mr. Idibia is quite a writer!
I heard this song once on a Ghanaian radio show called Kasahare level presented by Dr. Duncan on Adom 106.3 FM. I was so happy to hear them play the song you know, DJ's hardly play such "serious" music like this one anyway. After Ebe like say, he played A-Plus' A letter to parliament which increased my excitement level 10 times more.
The election has come and gone and YarAdua has won, but the onus is on him to use his power to make sure that Nigeria lives in unity, in peace, with quality education and control diseases. This song is bound to be the soundtrack for every African election from now on. Tuface does churn out those soundtracks, doesn't he? :-)
Love the skit on his cd where the child goes "Ei daddy u can lie o, which kind the tortoise fall from the sky and have cracked back, which kind the tortoise fall"

This is one of those songs that everytime u play it, it revokes a different feeling...that's what real music should be all about!

I can't say how much I love this song. I was just going about browsing, sending emails, etc and heard the song on Joy 99.7FM's Super Morning Show and I almost came to tears.
I think I was really happy because a Ghanaian radio station was playing the song as the host of the show were talking to Mr. Boakye Agyarko, a presidential candidate for Ghana's seat of government. If you want to know why the song was appropriate, scroll up and listen to it and read the lyrics.
