Mabrrr!!! I love this song!
me and you too....
Wow, I have been searching for vulindela lyrics. I love this song and I love you guys more for giving me the lyrics.
brenda fassie is fondly remembered by her fans. it's sad death had to come and take her so early. i hope there are some unreleased songs of hers that we can hear in the future
hey Patricia,
I believe there have been several album releases after her death,of her previously-unreleased songs, including a gospel cd as well. I haven't had a chance to get my grip on them yet, but I know they are faya.
Her son is doing a good job of managing her sales, and I believe a portion of them goes to charity, cos we all know about these record-company-mongers.
Lala kaKgotso! (RIP in Sesotho)
great, several album releases?
wow, i wonder how many songs musicians just leave in the studios while recording their albums.
there is a Brenda Greatest Hits CD somewhere, it's a great listen, y'all should cop a copy.
we'll be looking out for these previously unreleased songs
fassie at her best
had been looking for the video so thanks for posting

Hi everyone.
I'm from Spain and while I was in Angola on a mission, I heared this song. It really change my life and I don't know why. I would like to know if anybody can translate the lyrics for me, it's a dream for me to get to know what Brenda's message was in this song.
Please you can contact me at maragda4@hotmail.com
Thank you very much and hope to keep hearing from you.
Best wishes and love to everyone.
Maragda
Hola Maragda! como estas?
hehe, I'm glad you feel so strongly about the song, although there isnt really a "deep" message to it (well, I guess there's a deeper meaning to everything if you look at it the right way). Summary: Brenda is telling the gossipers of the village to 'open the gates'(Vulindlela) and not to be jealous of his son who is getting married to a beautiful woman. (such as...u know, someone like myself)
Vul'indlela wemamgobhozi -- Open the gates, Miss Gossip
He unyana wam -- My baby boy
Helele uyashada namhlanje -- Is getting married today
Vul'indlela wela ma ngiyabuza -- Open the gates please
Msuba nomona -- Don't be jealous
Unyana wami uthathile -- My son has had a good catch
Bengingazi ngiyombon'umakoti -- I never thought I'd see a daughter in law
Unyana wam eh ujongile this time -- My son has been accepted (woman said yes)
Makgadi fele usenzo s'cede -- Help us finish the ceremony (you are welcome)
Uzemshadweni ngiyashadisa namhlanje -- Come to the wedding, I'm taking my son to the altar today
Bebesithi unyana wam lisoka -- People said my son is (someone who doesnt get women)
Bebesithi angeke ashade vul'indlela -- People said he would never get married but open the gates
:-)Enjoy
..And lots of African and Museke love to you too!
