Museke.com mailing list!

Hello African music fans,

Museke.com has grown a lot since its inception as a music lyrics database. Due to its mission to reach a wide audience and provide the best experience for the African music fan, many other features have been added to the original project and goal. We have over 550 songs and more than 570 members! We want Museke.com to be a resource of information and education about popular African music. One of our major goals is to make sure that for every song on Museke, the lyrics, song information, the audio and/or the video is posted together with links to where you can buy the song or find even more information about it. We also continue to provide an African music news reader, a music blog encompassing music from all over Africa, an event calendar of African music events, among others.

Museke.com is a website for you so we would love your contributions. In today's era of social networking, one person does not build a website. Examples are Facebook, Youtube and Myspace. We want you to express your love for African music through this medium. When you log in as a user, you can click "create content" and subsequently you can create a song lyric page, an event about that musician who's coming to your location, create a forum topic or post comments on lyric, audio, blog, event and forum content. If you want to keep a blog about African music or post your favourite video from Youtube or Google video on the site, send us an email at help "at" museke "dot" com so that we can enable blogging for you.

A lot of you have asked questions about translation of lyrics. For a start, if there's a song you really want to know about, you can post a comment on its lyrics page asking for translations or a synopsis, and other users would gladly answer your questions. Let's get the discussion going.
You can click the recent posts link to find out what's new!
