Bebe cool

Bebe Cool (real name Moses Ssali) is a Ugandan reggae/ragga musician. Growing up, he performed in various secondary school shows and promotions. He was even once the entertainment prefect. His mentors are Bunju Bunton, Wyclef Jean and Beres Herman.

Bebe Cool writes music as he gets inspired by present situations at each time, and personal experiences. His Ekisanja (Slang referring to a third term for President Museveni) song praises the incumbent (Yoweri Museveni). To him, he sings about what the pulse of the times or people is. The song has been used for political campaigns.

Now he seems to be following his heart; he has just recorded a 10 track album with Necessary Noize and he says it is pure roots reggae. The partnership between him and the duo has been christened The East African Reggae Bashment Crew.

Some of his songs are Hehe song, Funtula, Never trust, Twezinire, Burn dem down, Mambo mingi, King of the jungle and his songs with the EABC include Africa unite, Kube, etc

Moses is also involved in various community activities. He is part of the Umbrella M. Community which is an organization of musicians interested in community work. They do community work like cleaning markets like the Jinja market, wells like one in Makerere Kikoni.
