I am actually wondering where Zola has disappeared to, myself. He's been out of the music scene for a little bit now. I know he is working on his Zola7 TV show which has helped many kids out of Soweto and is already on its path to success. But we want some more music! Maybe come December, he will drop a few hits for the jams :-)

Also, does any one know where I can buy Yizo Yizo the film series? I think it was one of the most important productions to come out of South Africa. It had a HUGE impact on the youth, Zola played a big role in raising awareness against violence, and for education. People outside of SA need to watch it too :-)

here's a classic clip of an episode of Yizo Yizo. This particular one doesn't feature Zola but it features the notorious "Chester", the leader of the gang. I remember vividly, he ended up raping his girlfriend in this stolen "Kombi".
An eye-opening experience for me when I watched this back in the teenage days. Must get my hands on the DVD sooner than later!

Zola! good stuff as always. He's a film producer too? Tsotsi is too good a movie and he deserves that Oscar as much as Presley and the movie director. Kombi, Trotro, Danfor, Matatu .... same old thing all over Africa, buriful :-D
