Since the Angolans have been dominating the MTVBase Africa charts lately, it's about time we talked more about Angolan music, especially Kizomba.
The music can be likened to zouk or rhythm and blues.
Kizomba is a music genre performed in all Lusophone African countries as well as Portugal. The Sãotomean kizomba is very similar to the Angolan, Juka is the most notable among the Sãotomeans, but it is also one of the most notable performers in the genre. The Cape verdean version of kizomba is called pasada, kola-zouk, zouk-love or cabo-love and also uses Creole instead of Portuguese.
See more info at Kizomba on Wikipedia.

Kizomba has its own dance, and the dancing style is also known to be very sensual.
Hmm mmh.
Check out how far it has travelled :-)

I like these songs, Kizomba seems to be the rockas! It reminds me alot, of Mozambican music (Well, I guess there is no surprise there).
Mozambique by the way, people, is the best beach-party place in Africa! What! And meat is cheap too.
(yes, party and meat is how we do it in the South).
best beach-party place in Africa?
One more country to visit in 2010.
I love kizomba though, just like zouk. They are the African slow jams :-)
