Chorus
Even though I have
Repeat 3x
Fat thighs
Flabby arms
A pot belly still gives good loving

Verse 1
I can't escape the thought that maybe we were destined too be together
The easy way we love confirms the fact -
It's just getting better
Dance with me
Flirt with me
Have a little fun
I'm glad to see you are here with me
Let's have a little fun

Repeat Chorus

Verse 2
We got to take a walk along the shore
It's fine sunny weather
The waves make their way across our toes
So good to be together
Dance with me
Flirt with me
Have a little fun
I'm glad to see you are here with me
Let's have a little fun

Repeat Chorus

Verse 3
In another time I could say I love you
I love you
With your sweet hand in mine
I could say I need you
I need you every day and every hour
.....

In the morning, in the evening time
It still gives good loving
After breakfast, after dinnertime
It still gives good loving
Summer-loving in the wintertime
It still gives good loving
Honey-loving only yours and mine
It still gives good loving

Very nice video!

Title 'pot belly' certainly drew my attention but in a humorous way.

Da lyrics are simply DEEP!

Good thing that love is blind
cos beauty shd radiate from within and not just skin deep..not saying we musn't take care of our bodies.

Really loving songs from ya place Swazibella!! gd job.

I love songs from yr place too Essie! Have u heard Mzbel's latest? The rockas. U will just cry and die.

So I am really loving the pot belly vid. Its excellent, whoever produced it is happening big time. The issue with many African music vids is they are too busy, we want to capture all the action we can in 4 minutes, sometimes simple is lovely is beautiful is lekker is best! And this is the cutest example of it! Im really really loving.

Nice message too...hehe, Essie I agree, external beauty fades with time but inner beauty, strength, courage and grace will get you farther than skin will. And yes, like Becca, we must continue the gym process so that we can be cute and healthy as a bonus! Although, as long as you're in Africa doing housework and eating African food (organic ingredients, holla)..that shd come au naturel!

And u know what they say about African men... the roundness of yr pot belly is an indicator of social status. I dont mind eh!

Hey, wot title is Mzbel's latest?? cdn't find it.

I know u like kakayi by Kojo Antwi..
lyrics shd be up by saturday night exclusively for u hehe

About da pot belly of african men and status, well for some of them 'mese ɛyɛ yareɛ nkoaa..beer ɛne piito na ayɛ ne saa' hehe

I mentioned beer..shd give ya a clue wink wink

later eh!

Chale's picture

Essie, Kakayi dey here o.

About the pot belly of African men, in addition to the beer, they sit in the office all day and eat fufu at every chance with almost no exercise. So they have the money to buy the beer, a nice job that requires them not to do 'much', and the ability to eat fufu whenever they want, comes with the status. :-)

Swazibella's picture

..You're the best. Hmm, as for that beer...let us just say I am discerning what u mean, lol. but feela beer bellies were not what I meant now? my comment was in reference to "living well" bellies.

Kakayi lyrics are already on the site oo...lets see which other song u can dedicate for me, think abt it hard eh, i am not easy to impress! lol.

Mzbel ..check out her myspace, and get a sneak peak glimpsetonic lovelicious kissesmatic Odolastic atonementation of hotness happiness.

Swazibella's picture

hehe, Essie, we are stalking u dear :-)

But u people, this is tres exciting, I just came from out (english is my 7th language). Went to this bar/club thingamageegiddy and me I'm playing pool (correctly called Snooker) and I hear one of my fav Nameless songs come on. Did I not go crazy u ask? Yes, indeed. But not as crazy as when they played Agolo by A. Kidjo after that...more excited perhaps? yes o! But the grand finale is when I was leaving I heard African Queen! Not even my father's car can make a U-turn that fast.

Needless to say, I signed many autographs on this night :-)

I am pleased.

this is so great i luv freshlyground
the video is also spectacular good idea by the maker

Swazibella's picture

This is taken from their website:

"It was directed by the team of Mark Hofmeyr and Gwydion Beynon, with Angela Nemov as Art Director. Instead of a whole lot of people walking around with pot bellies, we wanted to convey the core message of the song (which is even though you have whatever you have, love will find a way) in a unique and fun way! We shot it down in Cape Town last month (in the studio and on Noordhoek beach - luckily it didn't rain!) and decided to let Zolani (aka Ms. Green) be the star, coz as we all know she's not only quite a good singer, but a trained actress too. We think she's amazing in the video, and stars alongside Johan Vermaak as Mr.Red ... although of course all that changes!"

:-)

I foresee both the vid and the song winning numerous awards next yr!
