    Yetunde Omotanwa Antonia Alabi

Sasha's real name is Yetunde Omotanwa Antonia Alabi. She's a hip hop artiste from Nigeria and is regarded as the First Lady of Hip hop in Africa as well as Naija's Female MVP. She is known as Nigeria's Missy Elliott. She got the name Sasha for her mum's Russian friend in 1998. Sasha means victory in Russian. She likens her family to the Vontrapps from the "Sound of music" and she was Grettle and when she was five, she was performing at family gatherings. She also rapped with some boys in a group.

She studied law at the University of Lagos, Akoka (Unilag). Before that, she attended the famous International School, Ibadan, where in 2001, she took part in Unilag's 'Girls Nite Out' annual talent hunt. She emerged the second and the next day went on to perform at the Lagos Lekki beach with other contestants. Later she met Eldee of the Trybesmen and the rest, who signed her to Trybe Records and her first single, Work it, was released in August, 2002. Oya came afterwards in October and became a Christmas anthem.

She released a single in 2003 called Emi le gon. It received wide acclaim in Nigeria. She earned a place in the West African Kora preliminaries in Ghana for the Most promising musician award. Pitted against 2Face Idibia, Mzbel, Samini, Orcyno, Kessim, and Guizo, she emerged victorious and earned a nomination for a Kora award (Most Promising Female Artiste - 2004). Her full debut album, FInally here, is due in 2007 and its singles have already shown that it would be very successful. She's with Storm Records.

Her stage craft has created a style that is no one else's and her dynamism ranges from Lawyer in waiting to Designer to Writer to rap artiste. She founded the Pink ribbon Foundation created to raise awareness for breast cancer. She has a pet project to educate young females in secondary schools and universities on the increasingly prevalent disease of breast cancer. Her mother owned a fashion outfit so she was inspired to be a designer. She started designing for friends which led up to her own line 'Eclectic' and she now claims a clientele that is spread across a number of universities. She has been on countless magazine covers. She also has a column in a newspaper called Sashaspeaks where she addresses general issues in the society.

Some of her songs are Emi le gon, Only one, Proudly Nigerian, Not 2nite, etc
