King Ayisoba’s new album, ‘The whole world’ is bound to be an international hit. In fact, Pidgen Music is coming out with two different albums. One would be in his local dialect and English and would be packaged for the international market. The second one would have some Twi content, would be more comedic and entertaining and is geared for the Ghanaian music scene.
The album was supposed to be called ‘Africa’. The debut album called ‘Modern Ghanaians was targeted towards people in Ghana and it looked like the second album was going to follow suit in reaching out to Africans at large. The single called ‘Africa’ talks about Africa moving forward. However, the success of Ayisoba’s debut transcended the borders of Ghana into the world stage so his producers (Panji) saw a much bigger picture. Hence, the sophomore effort is called ‘the whole world’.
‘The whole world’ single talks about how Ayisoba and his crew (Shake bongo, Natara, Kweku Ananse) were laughed at at the beginning. Now that they’ve made it, people are trying to hang out with them and praise them. This Kwaku Ananse plays the calabash for Ayisoba’s band.
