The late Jabulani Harold “Sjava” Ndaba – a singer, composer, songwriter and producer of note from the group Malaika – died after he had completed a gospel album.

Like the genius Tupar Shakur, who also has unreleased material, Ndaba was full of life and loved the good things in life.

His production company was called Sjava Productions, the same name he used on his red Golf 5 GTi as registration plates – SJAVA GP.

Ndaba would sit in his Klerksdorp, North West, studio until the wee hours of the morning recording gospel and jazz songs.

Born in 1976, Jabu is survived by mom Lindiwe Ndaba, sister Busi Ndaba and 14-year-old son Keke.
