    Leroy Monaheng

Leroy Monaheng is an audio engineer from Botswana who plays all kinds of music but house/dance is his favorite.

Leroy was raised by a single mother, and grew up in Gaborone, Botswana.

Leroy Monaheng was once a sound engineer/producer at Mudhut Studios in Gaborone Botswana. He studied sound engineer at Allenby College in Johannesburg and graduated in 2002. He's now with Virgin Brew.

Upon graduating from Allenby College, Leroy went back to Botswana where he started working as a sound engineer at Mudhut studios. The talented producer revolutionised keyboard playing by bringing it into the field of house music. Starting his career as a sound engineer, his first production was for a Kwaito artist Star Luu. He then followed this with his first solo house project called Lounge Cafe Volume 1. His album shot to the top of the charts and he was hailed as one of the finest dance music producers ever to come out of Botswana.

The demand grew bigger and bigger, he became involved in a lot of production, from Kwaito, Hip Hop, Gospel, traditional, rock, etc. From a simple sound engineer to a prominent producer with proven skills, today, he carved a niche for himself. He has worked with the likes of Acid, Chris Manto 7, Wizardz of the Desert, Da Vet, Stagga, Exodus, Mokorwana, etc.

He released his second house project, Lounge Cafe Volume 2 late 2006, working with the likes of the Legendary John Selolwane, a prominent jazz guitarist. He is not only a good producer but also a good sound engineer. He engineered in some local jazz projects, even movies.

Leroy's talent not only ends with sound engineering and producer but also adds lyricist and a music composer to his portfolio. His composition is in his own albums, Acid and other local artists. He got his dance music influence from his cousin Bonsai (Moshoza, Mzambia, Msawawa, Elle's producer) when he was still studying in Johannesburg, since then he never looked back.
