    Teddy Osei, Mac Tontoh

Osibisa is one of the biggest and most popular bands out of Africa. It was founded by Ghanaians Teddy Osei (saxophone), Sol Amarfio (drums) and Mac Tontoh (trumpet); Grenadian Spartacus R (bass); Trinidadian Robert Bailey (keyboard); Antiguan Wendell Richardson (lead guitar); and Nigerian Lasisi Amao (percussionist and tenor saxophone). Darko Adams Potato (died 1995) and Kiki Djan (died 2004) were also been members of the band. Later, they had members like Bessa Simons, Kwame Yeboah, Chris Jerome (all keyboards), Colin Graham (trumpet), Kofi Ayivor (percussion, congas), Kari Bannerman (guitar), Victor Mansah (bass guitar), etc.

Their various cultural influences helped them forge a sound that music fans loved all around the world. Their music was influenced by highlife, calypso, rock, Afro-pop, jazz, Latin, R & B, etc. They classified their style as Afro-Rock.

Some of their hits are Fire, Coffee song, Abele, Music for Gong gong, Dance the body music, etc
