Kwaisey pee won male vocal performance of the year at the recent Ghana music awards. Kwaisey is based in London and over the past year made concerted efforts to promote himself in Ghana and I guess it is paying off for him.
Daddy Lumba, George Darko and Nana Acheampong had great luck promoting themselves from Germany same as Pat Thomas from Canada but these days it's really tough for Ghanaian musicians abroad to promote themselves back home. I suppose Ghana is flooded with many more (and dare I say better) musicians.
