    Ebenezer Asare

Slim Busterr was born Ebenezer Asare to a Krobo father from Odumase-Krobo and a Fante mum from Elmina. He started dancing at Salem Secondary School at Osu in Accra when he was in Form One. He continued when he left for Ebenezer Secondary School. He thrilled his school mates with his artistic skills, to the extent that each time there was an entertainment event in the school, he was called upon to perform the floor show.

His mother did not agree with his chosen desire so he had to take part in dancing competitions under an alias. In 1982, while participating in a dancing competition as the representative of Accra Academy, he won. It was held at the Summer Hut Night Club at Mamprobi, Accra. He went on tour with other dancers entertaining people across the country. In the midst of the problems with his mother, he lived with Ebenezer Mensah(Slim Busterr Snr), for a while.

In 1986, he took part in a dancing competition called the Embassy Double-Do, in which he won the national contest to represent Ghana in a world dancing event in London. Due to some circumstances beyond his control, he couldn't take part and another renowned Ghanaian dancer, Adjetey Sowah, took his place. Slim Busterr is one of Ghana's foremost dancers, having won countless dance contests.

With Nana Kwasi Agyeman, aka Gemann, helping him, he took up music as he had taught him to compose songs, etc together with the help of Eric Bobo Jnr.
His first two albums, Medofo bra and Mpena did not do well and were released after 1989. He went to London the next year and studied audio and sound engineering. He recorded a third album called Merewa while there.

He returned to Ghana in 1998 with some studio equipment and set up a recording studio at Darkuman Junction in Accra. He released his maiden album in 1998 but it didn't do too well. Two years later, he came out with Masan aba, which was an instant hit. His music video was full of choreographies and he has carved a niche for himself as one of Ghana's best choreographers and dancers since.

In 2001, he released Eye Fe Keke in 2001 and a year later, another album called Baby was on the market. In 2003, Marsherita hit the Ghanaian music scene and was even more successful. He later came out with Dough, Etoile and the I Feel Chicken Tonight albums.

Some of his songs include Etoile, Onipa dasani, Mina, Baby, Marsherita, Dough, Asem bi, Heaven, Lavender, Maasi aye me yi, etc
