Kaysha has been called the future of Afro-Carribean music and is famous for the way his music borrows from various genres - kizomba, rap, zouk, rhythm and blues, etc.

His big breakthrough was with his first single called 'Bounce Baby' which uses a sample from West Indian band Kassav's Oulé. This was on his debut album, I'm Ready. His next album was a collaboration with Wu Tang Clan's Killah Priest called Worldwide chic. He released the It's all love album on his own label called Sushiraw Entertainment and the album enjoyed a lot of success through the single, On dit quoi. His different styles have endeared him to fans all over the world, especially in the Carribean, Europe and Africa. He has 5 albums to his credit.

He won a Kora award for best African Artist in 2000. He won a Kora award for best African Artist of the Diaspora in 2004.

He also produces musicians through his label Sushiraw entertainment. He has produced songs for the most known artists in the Afro-Caribbean scene, including Passi, Solaar, Jacob Desvarieux, Soumia, Elizio, Ludo, and others.
