Here is the video of Tic Tac's Kangaroo featuring Batman Samini and D'banj (da koko master) directed by world famous music video director, Gil Green
The video was filmed as part of a music video course organized in Ghana by NYU and involved various music video makers like Phamous People, King Luu, Felix Dakat, Paa Kwesi, BB Menson, Abraham Ohene Djan, Q de Lust, Abdulai, Ezekiel and Panji Anoff.
Gil Green was also in the country to shoot Akon's Mama Africa video which was done by the course/class.
It is exciting to see great music video directors coming to Africa to direct music videos and give our own directors resources to make their works better. We have started seeing it in the film industry, with Tsotsi winning an Oscar. Our music videos would follow suit and the music would become more recognised.
I should also say Akon is helping out African music a lot, and I hope his Mama Africa song becomes a worldwide hit and not just another song on his Konvict album.
