I'm in South Africa and just wanted to give everyone an update on the music scene and what's going on lately...

-Kabelo is proving time and time again that he's ruling the kwaito world with his latest SMASHING album "I am King". Lyrics and video coming soon! I'm also hearing rumours of TKZee in the studio engineering a new comeback album. Should be interesting, what with Kabelo so sick with the rhymes, and Zwai coming back from Opera-mode. I havent seen Tokollo in a while though.

I have been in contact with Museke for quite a while and when I suggested they wrote about the battle of the bands event that HP are running they asked me to sign-up and write it myself.

Therefore, I decided to do just that in this short little blog post. Hewlett Packard and kindly sponsoring an event around a 'Battle of the Bands' theme, on their website Design Your Personal Life.

The time is nigh...By now everyone should know that the EMA nominations are out. For the third year running, the MTV Europe Music Awards have a category for the best African Act. The first ever winner of the award was 2Face Idibia (2005), while 2006 saw Freshly Ground walking away with the award. The nominees for the 2007 EMA BEST AFRICAN ACT ARE:
