The Esther Smith marital saga deepens
News in the media says gospel music star, Rev. Esther Smith has separated form her husband of four years, a Kumasi based pastor, Rev. Ahinkan Bonsu. The reports say the break resulted as Esther gave her newly born baby with her husband to another man in Germany for adoption. The man was not named in the reports.
But a new angle to the saga has unfolded Saturday afternoon, on Joy FM’s entertainment show, Megahits. Speaking during the show, D. J. Abio, of Channel R, said that Esther Smith who has so far spoken only to Holland based FM station, Spirit FM, claims that she left the husband because of infidelity.

Kwaito musician Mgarimbe, real name Nkosinathi Mfeka, is behind bars after being arrested for child abuse by the police at Honeydew, north of Johannesburg.
Mfeka was arrested on Sunday after Sowetan alerted the police about the alleged ill-treatment of his four-year-old daughter. He will appear in the Roodepoort magistrate’s court today on a charge of physical abuse.
“Just a mere look at the child tells a story. You can tell that the child was physically abused,” West Rand police spokesman Captain S’phiwe Ndlovu said yesterday.
MTV BASE tunes into FM radio in Kenya
Nairobi, 1 August 2007: Entertainment channel MTV base and Kenya’s premiere radio station, Capital FM, have teamed up to re-define how young adults consume media by introducing MTV Total Request Live (TRL) Radio, an exciting new radio property for the Kenyan young-adult market.
